Gun News & Reviews
США
Добавлен 12 апр 2009
Thank you for stopping by. There are 2 main things we do at this channel:
GUN NEWS (IN 5 MINUTES OR LESS): just like the title says, we provide 'bite-sized' short presentations about industry news, ammo updates, politics, personalities and more.
FIREARMS REVIEWS: we try to provide you a wide range of handgun & long gun reviews for hunting, tactical and self-defense uses, as well as optics and other assorted accessories. Table-top reviews and of course SHOOTING whenever possible. Many of these reviews come from the time when this was listed as the 'DRDRAKE63' channel (prior to re-branding)
THE OCCAISIONAL OPINION PIECE: from time to time, we are less 'newsy', and hop onto a soap-box.
DISCLAIMER: Nobody at GN&R is an expert on firearms or shooting (or much of anything else, for that matter), BUT we do speak with confidence, which many people mistake for speaking the gospel. Our motto: Get 2nd opinions for everything!
Comments are welcome and encouraged - be respectful!

Henry Long Ranger Express: First Shots
Nobody wants to work.
Bad Azz gotta love it. Sign says absolulty no rappid fire he is just ripping it right there in front of the sign LOL I want oneBut is ok because it s a colt commando yepper. Its sweet. I still would put a suppressor on it.
Def 2 of my top 3 favorite rifles
I got an M1911 FROM CMP mfg May 1945. Also made by Remington Rand. Looks just like the one shown. My Capitol One Master card was declined, CMP said they would not approve for a gun. What's in your wallet?
cal 223
NICE. I have asked Ruger numerous times ever since they made the 10-22 Magnum to also use the one piece steel action on a 10-22. I purchased one the first time I saw one advertised.
Nice looking gun, love the 2 tone. I have a kimber Custom II in stainless and love it... I too have a $400 RI 3.5" 1911 up to a $1200 Kimber in 10mm... they all shoot great and i have had no issues with any of them with any magazines. However, i only use Wilson Combat mags for carry purposes.
I have a 1951 Marlin 336 R.C. chambered in 35 Remington.
Very nice rifle. I would love to have one but the cost will keep me from getting one.
If you've been trying to buy this since Ruger bought Marlin....see a psychiatrist....
New Winchester Model 70 rifles have the controlled feed of the early 70'. The Winchester Model 1894, were all made from #1 of ordinance grade steel before anyone used this premium grade steel for sporting rifles.
So basically a video on a topic that didn’t happen…..
What is an unmarked 24/47? I wish the bolt had a decocking/cocking knob on the bolt like an 03-A3. I love the 8mm round. 196 grain, just a little bigger than a .30 caliber. This is your pockyclysp Mad Max era rifle hands down. You just have to dig it. This rifle will help you rule the wasteland.
Bring back the Wingmaster and they will sell millions!
How are they for ccw
Awesome video of a great classic.
Yes indeed. I too am a pushover for a high polish deep blue revolver. So much so that I bought a 6" blue Python back on July 1st. What a disappointment. 6.7 lbs. average single action trigger pull and 11+ lbs double action trigger pull. Nothing but a pretty face. I truly wish I would have bought a new 586. Could have saved a bunch of money as well.
If Trump get in we will definitely be going into a depression, good planning just in case
All beauties… congratulations!
Mcarbo trigger and spring works well
I’m just now starting to study shotguns as I need one for home defense. I had a few folks tell me I should use a shotgun rather than my Ruger Security 9. This is one of the firearms in stock at my local gun store which I’m researching. Glad to hear they did a good job with the build quality. I’ll be adding it to my list of shotguns I’m interested in. I appreciate your video!
Would absolutely love to own one of these. Way how I see it is that if it was shot, it’s not really a bad thing. Bolt carriers groups and barrels can be replaced with reproductions that damn rear match the original. AR-15s are damn near timeless no matter how you own it.
The easy answer is NO, because of the stupid ILS that S&W really should have never added and should have long since abandoned. I will never, ever buy any firearm with an ILS, period.
Your hands are too big for the 320 compact
reload your own. used 30 odd 6 cases are really cheap. 150 grain hollow point or Polly point. load it up to halfway to Max. very accurate. and you can use those for hunting. remember in most states full metal jacket is illegal to hunt with it's mostly for punching holes. you only need FMJ if you're going to war with some other country that signed the Geneva convention. terrorists are not included in that.
I got my granny from the CMP she is 80 years old this July just like my birthday. I told the man I wanted a beater with a good barrel. got a rock grade gun with less than one reading. it's a mismatch mutt. everything beautifully functional like a good dog. OMG I'm having so much fun I don't have to worry about knocking it around. I'm quite sure it has committed gun violence quite often since 1944. God bless America.
I would love to own this weapon and this a very good weapon.this is good for self defense, and as and armed guard.
Supposedly the most accurate Lever action 22 ever made.
I have this gun in mint condition in a 1946 issue. I paid $125 for mine in the early 1980s 40 effing years ago. I could probably get $1000 for it today.
the main downfall was the round firing pin created too many misfires.
I can't agree more with you. I have never liked Ruggers, staring with, they haven't got a good line design, going back to the earlier colts when the frames where forged , so they could maintained strength at a lighter weight and swim line, opposite to the monstrosity of Ruggers that in order to increase strength they where bulky all around and no finesse, but this impressed some people not understanding the all picture.!! And also the lock on a revolver, is a waist of time. Some functions in any machinery, decrease safety, too much additions . Imaging traying to shoot a gun and looking for the key...is just a joke, apart from the internal components subjected to weakening or malfunctions.
"Absolutely NO RAPID FIRE" lol
I used to hear that Colt revolvers had triggers that stacked.
The Colt .45 (1911) didn't go over because: (1) People didn't trust it to be drop-safe. (2) Many guns would jam periodically. (3) People did not trust themselves to carry cocked-and-locked.
others talk about colts poor q c
I just found a 1953 M70 in 270 at a pawn shop, beautiful original condition, may have paid too much but couldn’t pass it up. Can’t wait to take it apart and clean it up
Good video! Very helpful. I just bought one like you did, and plan to do many of the same alterations. Im pleasantly inspired sir!
Is it ambidextrous?
My Taurus G3 does not like steel-cased ammo. So I only use brass/nickel plated cased ammo.
Cuéntanos como te va ahora con la Sig p365x, has tenido fallas?, yo voy 1 mes y estoy muy contento
I am pro gun rights, but enough said about locks on guns, anything that can help me keep innocent people from being injured i am for.....
Get a safe. Fudd.
they make them today smaller, lighter and cheaper, but they cost more and labor and material is not the main reason for the cost, GREED IS !
Wow! Levi Strauss! Who would have thought that would ever happen! Oh well, no more Levi’s, they were getting too expensive, anyway.
Even at full open, there is no way gas block flow/pressure did that. What that was, was either a 300 blackout chambered in a 5.56 or a double power charged round. The round went off, but the bullet never went down the barrel and the gas had nowhere to go but back
I bought 1 of 5500 of the GI tribute of this gun. I love it so much I'm getting the the standard version soon. Just bought the SA-35 high power too. Spingfield is making some great firearms.
I own the SA-35... been thinking of picking up the GI version as well.
I love my sig
I was looking through coffee brands and I forgot why the Black Rifle Coffee Company was so hated. Thanks for the refresher!
Great video, great guns. I have the S&W 5904 and a value model 910. All of the 59 generation pistols are excellent firearms to shoot and collect
that short barrel has a hell of a kick compared to a 20" M16A1
Awesome video! My dad had the Remington 550-1 and after he got it he took it to a gunsmith to get the firing pin fixed because of "peening" as you called it. I inherited it and being a scrawny high school kid at first it felt a bit heavy coming from a Sheridan pump single shot pellet gun(my first gun). Awesome and economical plinker by the way and a great first gun for a kid. I hope you do a video on it one day! Anyways. I loved seeing you take it down and the comparison. Thanks again. Keep doing what your doing. It's a great thing!
